As I read these tributes to Jake...I am overwhelmed by the recurring recognition of what a special young man he was. What a tribute...not only to Jake, but to his family. My family was not only blessed to know Jake...but, we had the privilege of living next door to him. His easy smile...his amazing spirit...his sweet nature...these are just a few of the things that made Jake SO special. Although he will missed here in this world...I know that heaven is an even brighter place with Jake''s wonderful, unmistakable smile. Denny, Maggie and Conner...our prayers and thoughts are with you.

I taught Jake for a few years at Oak Hill Elementary. He was a joy to teach and a wonderful young man. I loved his family and adored him. I know Jake is in a better place with God. I pray for his family and friends. Words can not begin to express the sorrow I feel for his family. I am sorry proud to admit I was one of Jake''s favorite teachers and he was one of my favorites. Jake, you will be greatly missed but forever in my heart.

My son was a friend of Jakes and is definately mourning his passing. While I was blessed enough to know Jake personally, my heart is still grieving for the ones he left behind. May God''s love embrace his family at this difficult time.

I use to volunteer in Jake''s class at church and out of all the kids in the sunday school class Jake stood out to me as a special young man. I use to tell him that he was going to be a pastor when he grew up, because he had such a genuine heart for people and such a love for the Lord at such a young age. He remember bible verses, but it wasn''t like he just remembered them because we told him too. I knew when he said the verse he truly meant it with his heart. God had such a special calling on his life at such a young age and I know that he touched many lives, including mine. I feel privileged to know him.

Maggie and Denny - we are so saddened about Jake. He was a special young man and you should be proud of both of your sons as they are fine boys. We are heartbroken over this...We love you and are praying for you.
